The Seven Rules of Cruising*
  1. Conserve fresh water, use salt water for everything but the final rinse (dishes and bodies)
  2. Seating is boy-girl-boy-girl whenever possible
  3. No cardboard boxes or paper bags on board--they carry roaches
  4. Stow your own gear before someone else does and forgets where
  5. All meals are good and you are grateful for them, especially if you didn't cook
  6. No one is allowed to have an empty glass if the boat is not moving
  7. Don't tell the Commodore
